Our New Foundry branch practice in Johnstown was established in 2008 and has recently moved to it new location at 60 Stryt Las. All vet and nurse clinics found on this website are available at this branch surgery, however all surgical procedures take place at our practice in Oswestry. If you have a surgical procedure booked in, your pet will be admitted at our Johnstown branch and transported to Oswestry in our new pet ambulance, or you are welcome to have your pet admitted directly at the Oswestry practice.

The New Foundry Vets surgery is ideally situated on the ground floor of a large building. We have a spacious waiting room and consulting rooms with easy disabled access.
We have excellent car parking facilities with spaces directly in front of the building and in a car park directly adjacent.
Our welcoming reception area is your first stop and is manned during the day by the receptionist. This area contains the reception desk where you can collect your repeat prescriptions and any medications put out for you by the vets, as well as routine worm and flea treatments. In front of the desk there is a pet food section and a small seating area in case you have to wait to be served.
In the reception area is a pet food section with a selection of Royal Canin life stage diets available. As well as the range found on the stands, most other foods and prescription diets can be ordered in. Ask at reception for details.
Our large and spacious waiting area boasts separate cat and dog sections, helping to keep the visit to the vets as stress free as possible. There is also a set of digital weighing scales available for clients to use to keep up to date with your pet’s weight. If you need help using the weighing scales please do not hesitate to ask, but if you are happy to use them yourself please remember to inform a member of staff so they can update your pets’ records.
When visiting either the vet or the nurse in our Johnstown branch, you will be seen in a fully equipped consulting room. In the vet’s consulting room there is all the modern equipment needed for the initial examination of your pet. The second spacious consulting room is used by our nurses for all their clinics.
We have our own ambulance which allows us to safely transport pets to Park Issa and back for surgical procedures and/or hospitalisation. All animals are transported in their own separate section of the van, keeping them comfortable and reducing the stress of the trip.
