Jo went to vet school in Edinburgh and qualified in 1991, she initially worked in the South East and then lived and worked for 20+ years in the Midlands. She gained the RCVS certificate in small animal medicine in 2005, she enjoys getting to know her patients and their owners so she can be a better GP.  Jo and her family moved to North Wales in 2020 and now they live on a small holding. Along with her husband Simon (also a vet) and her two sons Hugh and Tristan, they produce their own poultry, pork, lamb, fruit and veg. Also cider from their own apples and wines from grapes in the polytunnel. She has four dogs, four cats, three guinea pigs and a bearded dragon. When she has time, she likes to ride her horse, also spending time preserving and bottling home produce. She enjoys cinema, reading and peace and quiet.
